Micro-Needling (Dermapen 4)

At Smirk Aesthetics, we offer Micro-needling or Medical Grade Skin Needling using the advanced technology from the Dermapen 4. This specialised treatment stimulates your skin’s natural collagen production whilst also targeting multiple skin concerns.

What is Skin Needling and Why do we love it at Smirk Aesthetics?

Skin needling involves using a device with many fine needles (dermapen 4) to create controlled punctures into the skin. These wounds stimulate skin cell regeneration but also allow the products and serums we apply to penetrate deeper. We manipulate the depth of these wounds as well as the speed of the device to enable more specific treatment results.

Micro-needling can specifically target:

  • Some signs of aging and sun damage
  • Wrinkles and fine lines
  • Pigmentation
  • Acne Scars
  • Dehydrated Skin
  • Collagen production for skin tightening
  • Enlarged Pores

Is there any pain or downtime?

The procedure itself takes about 30minutes and has minimal pain involved. Downtime can depend on depth but usually, you will experience a sunburn like appearance for up to 24 hours.

How much is this treatment?

Micro-needling starts at $299 per session. It is recommended to have 3-6 sessions every 12 months to maintain results.

I’ve been going to Smirk Injectables with my mum for a couple of years now and we absolutely love Nic. She’s so professional, but also makes you feel completely comfortable with her friendly chats and sense of humour. She’s incredibly informative and always takes the time to explain the pros and cons of any treatment before you go ahead, which I really appreciate. Couldn’t recommend her enough!

Met Nicola over 3 years ago when she worked at a previous company. Nek minut, she disappeared (which devastated me and I had to have treatment by a lady resembling Stiflers Mum...).... vowed to never return after that experience (the lady also advised me to purchase a demi pen to do my own face to help my uneven skin texture, because she does it - on the couch, after a few wines - totally safe!) 🤯

Then (thank you algorithms), had a bit of a Liam Neeson moment on Taken, when I saw this familiar face pop up advertising Smirk. I FOUND YOU and I will book appointments with you ASAP!

Nicola is one of the best in the industry and I completely trust her with all of my skin care and treatment needs. She's honest, knowledgeable, hilarious and patient (when I arrive and forget what planned treatments we'd discussed a few weeks ago lol).
